From the Beginnings
The BODENSTOLZ story began in the mid-1980s when we founded our family business on the farm south of Bad Wonder.
In 1984, we laid the foundation for our current diverse range of products with our first carrot field. Initially,
we sold our harvest exclusively directly from the farm. In 1996, our product range expanded, but our guiding
principle has always remained the same: „Harvested by hand, grown with heart“ and „Authentic. Organic. Delicious.“ – a
commitment to quality and freshness to which we feel dedicated every day.
Now in its second generation, the family business continues to be run with passion. 2004 marked a new chapter in our
history: We transformed from „Hof Meier“ to BODENSTOLZ – straightforward, distinctive, and focused on the essentials.
We are more than just carrots, and we want to showcase this diversity.
Our slogan has evolved: „From the earth – for the future“ has become „Roots with a future.“ Because that‘s exactly
who we are – deeply rooted in our region and focused on a sustainable future.
We are convinced that agriculture can thrive in harmony with nature. And we see this not just as an option, but as a
necessity. For our environment, for people, animals, and plants, we are rethinking agriculture – actively, boldly, and
with clear principles. Field-fresh quality meets straightforward honesty.

Today, we supply not only the people in and around Bad Wonder with our high-quality products. What once began as a small
family business is now a supra-regional company for fresh, organic vegetables and homemade spreads, vinegars, soups, and
stews—and our location on Waldring is our vibrant hub. Here beats the heart of BODENSTOLZ, where we unite tradition and
innovation: In addition to our company administration, the building houses our processing and food development departments,
including a professional test kitchen where new, delicious creations are developed using our vegetables. And of course, we
warmly invite you to taste them right here!
